WM (With Music) : I vividly remember a lot obout this event. The summer weather was perfect for an outdoor festival. It was dry, hazy and overcast. Humid but not a "furnace". It was a difficult scheduling for the stage managers. There were 3 music festivals taking place simultaneoulsy from Canada's east coast to the west coast. All 3 festivals were broadcast nationally by Much Music. The headiners were flying from festival to festival all on the same day. Much Music was also filming onboard the band's aircraft which hosted their own Canada Day party.

It was dificult to predict if an act would arrive on schedule. Thank God I was the drum technician. I didn't have to worry about schedules. My worry about was whether or not Spinal Tap's drummer would show up on crutches or spontaneously combust during their set and take my drumset with him... Shit. I hate it when that happens. For S Tap's show the lovely ladies helping out backstage were asked to dance onstage. Not sure that would fly today with the "ME" movement. "Big Bottom" was a big hit for Spinal Tap at the time...
